Santa Barbara Day 3

On the morning of our third and last day in Santa Barbara, my mom wanted to take a walk over to the "Funk Zone", and so we did. On our way out, I spotted these pretty flowers, and thought they deserved a pic.

There was a really cool antique/vintage store in the "Funk Zone", and I could've walked around for much longer than we did.
Look how cool this stuff is!
After, my mom and I went to this super trendy coffee shop called The French press. I got a soy vanilla latte.

Yay for latte art! My mom got a chai tea latte.

California traffic is awwffuulll, so to avoid this, we attempted to not drive home until later in the day, after rush hour. So to avoid this, we stopped at a beach on our way out of town.
The beach wasn't as nice as some of the ones in SoCal, but it was still nice.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading about our trip to Santa Barbara. Here's Day 1 and Day 2, if you missed them. I am going to be camping for 4-ish days, so there won't be any posts, until I get back. Sorry!

Santa Barbara Day 2

To start off our second day in Santa Barbara, my mom and I went to to the mission. Since I live in California, I have been to a few, but this one had some of the prettiest grounds I have seen.

There was a park just below the mission that had a beautiful rose garden.

We had lunch at Panera Bread, and after we had a treat at McConnell's Ice Cream.

This is my ice cream. I had Sea Salt Cream and Cookies, Dutchmen's Milk Chocolate, and Eureka Lemon and Marionberries. So good!

Later in the afternoon, my mom and I went to the beach. We chose Butterfly Beach and spent an awesome few hours there.
We bought a selfie stick before our trip, and I love it! #noshame

For dinner we decided to go to Whole Foods and just make something. On our way in, I spotted these flowers and thought they were so pretty. While in Whole Foods I proceeded to make a $16 burrito... oops!

I hope you enjoy reading about our vacation! Click here for Day 1 if you missed it! Day 3 (our last day) should be up soon!

Outfit: Floral For Summer

dress (from Abercrombie last year) | bralette (Gilly Hicks, can't find) | sandals | bracelet

I purchased this dress last summer, and am still obsessed with it now. It's so pretty and is lightweight, which is perfect for summer. Because of the open back, I paired a hot pink bralette under the dress, and wore my favorite sandals, I almost always wear my Alex and Ani bangle to accessorize. I love this outfit and know that I will wear it a lot throughout the summer!

Santa Barbara Day 1

On Monday, the 15th, my mom and I drove a few hours north to spend a few days in Santa Barbara for a "girls' trip". I had such a great time, and thought that it would be fun to share some pictures of what we did while we were there.

On our way into town, we stopped at the Santa Barbara Zoo. I love zoos because animals are one of my favorite things ever. We spent a little over 2 hours at the zoo, and saw my favorite animals!

{beware: pic overload}

I love this picture of the flamingos that I was able to get!

This little guy looks so happy!

Look how cute the baby giraffe is!
I got to feed Michael the Giraffe!

After leaving the zoo, we checked in to our hotel and drove to explore more of Santa Barbara. We shopped on State Street, and walked through the courthouse (below)

That night we had dinner on the harbor and walked on the beach!

outfit: top | pants (last season from Gap) | sandals | bag (color is Camel- can't find it anywhere, sorry!)

I hope you enjoyed seeing pics from our trip! Stay tuned for Day 2 and 3 coming soon!

My Summer Bucket List: 2015

(pic from the beach last summer)

I have about two and a half months of summer. I always have a list in my head of what I want to accomplish during these months of freedom, but somehow I never get around to doing most of it. This year I thought that it would be fun to make a list of things that I want to do before school starts again at the end of August.
  1. Have a campout in my backyard with my friends.
  2. Finish my summer projects (ew) by August 1st.
  3. Take my dog on two walks a day for a week.
  4. Go tubing.
  5. Get an EVEN tan.
  6. Have a photoshoot with some of my friends.
  7. Go to a flea market.
  8. Go to a zoo.
  9. Have a paint fight.
  10. Watch a sunrise.
  11. Go thrifting for a whole day.
  12. Volunteer somewhere.
  13. Have a picnic.
  14. Make some recipes from Pinterest, or just new recipes in general.
  15. Finish redecorating my room.

What's on your summer bucket list?

Outift: 8th Grade Promotion

Yesterday was my 8th grade promotion, and today was my last day of school, so now I'm officially a freshman! I thought that it would be fun to share my outfit along with other pictures from the special event!

with my parents

my lovely friends

dress | shoes (my mom's from Kenneth Cole, sorry)
I took so many pictures with all of my friends and had such a great time! Instead of wearing a necklace, we had to wear our medals that we won. Mine are for MVP of girls' soccer and for presidential honor roll!

Leg Season

With the heat comes shorts, and with shorts comes legs. Today I'm going to be sharing my favorite products to keep my legs in tip-top condition for spring and summer.

Shaving Cream
Shaving cream is super important and is something that you definitely don't want to skimp out on. My favorite is the EOS (yes, the egg lip balm company) shaving cream in  pomegranate raspberry. It smells great, and does a good job at moisturizing.

Razor
When it comes to razors, I'm not too picky and I'll usually use any type.

Lotion
Lotion is nice to use to make your legs soft and shiny. I typically use any Bath and Body Works lotion. Some of my favorite scents are Country Chic, Sweet Pea, and Carried Away.

Scrubs
DIY scrubs are the best thing. You can make them with items that you have in your house, and use them to exfoloiate your legs, or other parts of your body.
