What's On My iPhone 6?

Hi everyone, and happy Monday! For some reason I love watching "what's in/on my _______" videos, so I decided to do my own post! Hopefully you can learn about some new apps and just get a look into my phone.

Here is my home screen. It is incredibly boring, and I like to keep it the same way that it looks when you originally get it. I hate having tons of unread emails, so I always make sure to stay on top of them (all of them are read, but for some reason it says there's one unread...).

Here's the 2nd page, which has all of the apps that I've downloaded on my phone. I also keep an "Extras" folder, which includes the apps that come with my phone that I don't ever use. A lot of the apps that I have are pretty standard (Instagram : @lotsoflys, Twitter: @lotsoflys, Snapchat: Lotsoflys). I thought I would go into detail on the apps that are most likely unfamiliar to many.

VSCO: This is how I edit all of my IG pictures. You can read about how I specifically edit them here

Bloglovin': I absolutely love Bloglovin'! You can follow all of your favorite blogs (just search "Lots of Lys, if you're interested), and each time they publish a new post, it will show up in your "feed". I love reading all of the new posts each morning as I eat breakfast.

Think Dirty: Contrary to what the name suggests (...), this app rates beauty and "bathroom" products on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the "dirtiest". It rates them based on the chemicals that are in them, and it's really interesting to see just what is in your favorite products! My "bathroom shelf" has a rating of 8- can you beat me?

Follow Meter: If you have multiple IG's like me (I think most bloggers do), it can be a struggle to keep everything updated. This app helps to organize multiple accounts.

Stop: At a soccer team dinner last season. one of the girls had downloaded Stop. It's basically a game where you have to fill categories with words that begin with a certain letter. Let's just say that the dinner quickly became a Stop war. It's really fun to play against friends!

My Fitness Pal: I log all of my food to make sure that I'm getting all of my recommended protein and iron on a vegetarian diet!

FitBit: I love my FitBit, and I actually did a whole post about it here. The app is where you see how many steps you've take, how active you were, and how long you slept!

PHHHOTO: This app is similar to Boomerang, and it became really popular at my school. It basically takes a moving picture of something that's moving (great explanation, Alyssa).

What are your favorite apps on your iPhone?

Alyssa

Las Vegas Recap

Hey everyone! This past weekend, my parents and I ventured to Las Vegas for soccer. Unlike previous times, this trip we actually had time to walk around the strip and explore.

On Saturday, we arrived in Vegas and we drove to this sign. There was a surprisingly long line to take a picture under it, so I kind of stood off to the side and took one.

We didn't stay on the strip, but we were a short uber ride away! This was the view from the rooftop pool of our hotel.

We walked around the Wynn, which was really pretty. There were a bunch of fancy stores, and those "balls" hanging from the trees are bunches of flowers!

This carousel was completely covered in flowers- so pretty!

There was a little pond area, and every few minutes the fountain would come on, spraying water up.

We went on a quest through the Venetian to find Carlo's Bake Shop. They have this indoor canal and Italian scene, which is just so cute.

I hope you enjoyed some snaps from Las Vegas!

Fab Friday

TGIF! For some reason, this week has been dragging on! Each day I thought it was the next day, which did not help. This past week has basically consisted of school and soccer, and I'm counting down the days until summer (19 more school days!). I have a few exciting trips coming up; this weekend I am heading to Las Vegas, which should be fun. Anyways, let's get into some snaps from this week!

one:
Starbucks has been having half price frappuccinos, and my mom and I each got one on Wednesday. I hadn't been in our local Starbucks recently because I don't really drink things other than water very often. They redesigned the interior of the Starbucks and added this juice/drink sections, along with a larger selection of food options, which looked super yummy.

two:
This was an ootd pic from Mother's Day last Sunday. I was out in my backyard watering my plants that are growing (spinach, carrots, and sunflowers) when I noticed how nice the purple flowers looked! Oh, and I recently broke out the Sperry's after an unintended break from sporting them.

three:
Last weekend I had some free time, and I decided to paint. I had been wanting to for a while because I haven't painted since art class in 8th grade. I ended up just painting some flowers (I am the most un-artistic person ever #struggleisreal). Anyways, I like how it turned out!

Have a great weekend!

Spotted: One-Piece Bathing Suits

Hey everyone! Is it just me, or is this week going by super slowly? Anyways, I've noticed one piece bathing suits becoming more and more popular recently. I personally have never been a fan because they've always fit awkwardly due to my height, but I want to try them again because they are just too cute! I've rounded up some cute ones from around the web.

Do you like one-piece bathing suits?

What to Eat: Pre-Workout

Hey everyone, and happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Something that I'm interested in and spend a lot of time researching is nutrition. I think that what we put into our body is so important to how healthy and happy we are. When working out, nutrition is even more important. Today I'm sharing some perfect pre-workout meal/snack options!

Before working out, you want to eat carbs, because carbs = energy. It's important to not eat right before you workout- your body needs some time to digest before being active. I make sure to eat at least 1 hour before working out, if not 2 or 3. Some of my personal favorite pre-workout meals are oatmeal with an apple chopped up, an orange, a banana, or toast with peanut butter. Also, always make sure to hydrate before working out!

What do you like to eat before working out?

Phoenix Recap + I'm Back!

Hey everyone! After a few week hiatus from blogging, I'm back! School and soccer were getting pretty busy, and then I traveled to Phoenix for soccer. I accidentally left my laptop cord behind, so my laptop died. They were nice enough to send me the cord, but I was without a laptop for a bit. Anyways, I thought I would share some recent pictures from Phoenix and just life in general.

I went to Phoenix for soccer, but we did have downtime. I was able to go shopping with a few teammates, and try some tasty places for dinner. We went to this super nice outdoor shopping mall (the weather was so nice) and I made sure to pop into some stores that aren't in my local mall. I went into Kendra Scott, and I also saw a Warby Parker store, which was so cool! I popped into Paper Source and they had the cutest gifts for Mother's Day.

There was a center section which a bunch of palm trees that were all lit up (sorry, it's blurry).

My friends and I went shopping, and we popped into Target. My local target doesn't have fresh flowers, so I thought these were super pretty.

One night for dinner, my parents and I went to Yard House. I was surprised to find "Gardein Vegetable Bowl" on their menu! For those who don't know, Gardein is a vegan "chicken" brand (basically fake chicken), and I didn't expect to find it on their menu.

Every year my city has a little festival, with food, rides, and games. I hadn't been since I was in elementary school, so it was super nice to go with three of my friends and just have a good time.

Anyways, I have 6 more weeks until summer (definitely not counting haha) and I'm so excited. How long do you have?

xoxo,
Alyssa
